Our Ethos

TAO TUI represents two significant elements of my life that have influenced the creation of this brand. TAO, an island where my job was in the ocean and I was first drawn to swimwear; TUI, a native New Zealand bird that represents my Māori heritage (who were, no surprise for me, explorers of the ocean).

TAO TUI exists because there is an undeniable lack of sizing within the swimwear industry, and we all want to feel confident and flattered on the beach - in style. Created for, but not exclusive to, those women gifted with luscious curves and fuller busts.

We are built on a foundation of quality, inclusivity and sustainability. It is our mission to create swimwear that never makes you feel too much - that we need only find the pieces that fit and flatter our already fabulous selves, rather than change ourselves to fit our clothing. Our morals are simple - be kind, treat others how you would like to be treated - we keep these values close through every decision we make, from sourcing to who we work with. Each piece is designed and made with even the smallest details in mind, with care and precision. We believe that sustainable practices and high-quality craftsmanship go hand in hand.

This little brand has already come so far, from its inception to our first collection, it continues to be a labour of love and we are so excited for our future.
